This way they will able to burn their excess energy. You should have time to provide them with rigorous exercise. After deciding on the breed, you will need to decide on the dog's age. You may like to buy an old dog or a puppy. To buy an old dog you need to call a breed rescue or you can visit your local animal shelter. These groups check the dogs' health and temperament before you take them. These older dogs are already trained and they are frequently housebroken. They are not too hyper and are also less destructive. They can have some health or behavioral problems though. In case you want a puppy, you should find a reputable dog breeder. He will have all the breeds that you are interested in. If he is good, then he will also have a waiting list for his puppies. You can buy a puppy from a pet store in case you are in a hurry and cannot wait. Such puppies may suffer from some genetic diseases or other health problems as they come from puppy mills. They may also have bad temperament. So it's safe if you get the puppy from a breeder. Puppies have had no training and you can therefore train them in your own way.
